Kingman, Ind. - Clyde Kinneer, 83, of Kingman Route 2, died yesterday (Dec. 27, 1968) at his home. A life resident of Fountain County, he had resided in the Cates area for the past 66 years. Born March 27, 1885 in Van Buren Township of Fountain County, he was the son of Samuel and Elizabeth Keeling Kinneer. He was married to Hazel Huffman. Mr. Kinneer was a farmer and a member of the East Liberty Christian Church. He is survived by the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Jane Moore of Kingman Route 2; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Services will be at 2 pm Monday at the Cates United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg. Friends may call at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington after 7 tonight. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service.

Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Cates - Clyde Kinneer, 83 year old life resident and farmer of Fountain County, was fatally stricken at his home on Rt. 2, Kingman, Friday evening. A son of Samuel and Elizabeth Keeling Kinneer, he was born near Veedersburg on March 27, 1885. He was married May 3, 1924, to Hazel Huffman, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. June Moore of Rt. 2, Kingman; three grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews. Mr. Kinneer was the last of a family of four children. He had been a resident of the Cates area 66 years. He was a member of East Liberty Christian Church. Funeral services are at 2 pm Monday at Cates United Methodist Church, with interment in Rockfield Cemetery at Veedersburg.
